Lady Screen

I am designed to be highly visible. In fact, I am very visible. I display tons of advertisements every day. I announce events. Sometimes, I display something meaningful. I am always on. Always.

Lady Screen invites audiences to experience mobile stories displayed on a wearable Plexiglas cube. Lasting up to three minutes, these stories explore contemporary, screen-mediated daily life and the constant pressure to optimise one’s digital self.

Using a combination of pre-recorded material and AI-generated imagery, the stories employ humour and satire to reflect on our everyday entanglement with screens, digital infrastructures and systems of self-presentation. Each story is developed and produced in advance in response to a specific location with a high concentration of mobile screens and digital technologies.

The performance exists in two versions: one created for public spaces and one adapted for white cube galleries.

The premiere of Lady Screen happened at the Live Action Festival, September 2026,  Gothenburg. For this edition, there were two mobile stories: one that was presented at the City Library and the other at 3e Våningen
