ATELIER OBRA VIVA

Sítios Distantes (Remote Sites)

How can we develop a relationship with a place without being physically present?

For this curated performance event, Nathalie S. Fari invited performance- and visual artists to develop site-specific actions from a distance, especially from their hometowns. Departing from the public park and premises of the Centre for Art and Urbanistics (ZKU) – a former goods station converted into a space for art residencies in Berlin-Moabit, these actions aimed to interwove fictitious elements with real facts. While the actions were an attempt to describe, measure, or reveal some specific areas of the location, they composed both personal and performative narratives.
